Delete your Lingueez account
This page explains how to delete your Lingueez account and the data linked to it. It applies to the Lingueez mobile app (Android) and the Lingueez desktop app, which share one account.
ℹ️ A Ukrainian version is available here.
Delete your account from within the app
On Android (mobile):
- Open Lingueez and make sure you are signed in.
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon at the top of the word list.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked.
On desktop:
- Open Lingueez and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
Deleting your account is immediate and permanent.
What is deleted
- Your account (email, sign-in details and profile).
- All of your synced content — every word, saved text and tag, and the timestamps and status/favourite flags attached to them.
This is removed immediately and permanently from our servers. There is no grace period and no way to recover it, so please export or back up anything you want to keep first (the desktop app offers an export).
What is kept, and for how long
- Nothing is retained after account deletion. Once you delete your account, your account and synced content are gone for good.
- Individual items you delete (a single word, text or tag) — while your account still exists — are kept for a short grace period (up to 30 days) so the deletion can sync to your other devices, after which they are permanently removed.
- Data stored only on your device (app settings, offline cache and, on desktop, local backups) stays on that device until you remove it; it is cleared when you sign out.
Can’t open the app?
If you can no longer sign in, email us from the address on your account at privacy@lingueez.app and ask us to delete your account. We will verify your request and remove your account and all associated data, and respond within 30 days.
